Start a chat
Confirm your job and start a chat within 12 hours to show your enthusiasm. This is your chance to make a great first impression.
Limit cancellations
Reserve cancellations for illness or emergency only. Always cancel on the app so the job will be reposted for other sitters.
Repeat cancellations will result in account closure. *Cancellation fees apply to any job canceled once you are booked.
Review every job
More reviews = more jobs, more tips, and more favorite families. Sitters who leave detailed reviews are more often selected as a Favorite.
Go above and beyond at each job
What makes a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ sitter?

Be on time
Arrive five minutes early. Charge your phone and leave extra time for traffic.

Be engaged
No phones on the job. Never let a child use your personal devices. ASSUME EVERYONE HAS A NANNY CAM.
3.
Take initiative
Don't sit back. Clean up after all activities and meals. Look for extra ways to delight each family. Fold laundry, tidy up the toy room, wash dishes, etc.
4.
Communicate
Parents appreciate updates. Send a chat during each job to keep them informed. Only sends photos if allowed.
5.
Follow directions
Every family is different. Ask about screen time, food allergies, and bedtime routines. Listen carefully and repeat instructions.
6.
Dress like a pro
Dress for your environment. Avoid looking too casual, especially in church or preschool envionrments. Remember, you are there to play!

What will I be paid?
Hourly Rate + Tips
At SitterTree, you're the boss. Sitters set the rates for all family jobs. Before applying to any job, You'll see the hourly rate you'll earn. Plus, earn tips when you go above and beyond. 100% of tips go straight to you.
Payout Account
SitterTree will securely collect payments on your behalf. These payments will be added to your Stripe payout account within 24 hours after each job. Transfer funds from your SitterTree Stripe Payout account direct to your checking—less an 11% service fee.
Cancellation Fees
SitterTree charges cancellation fees to maintain the reliability of our app. You'll also have the opportunity to set your own policies when someone cancels a job you are booked for.
- $10 - Cancellations made anytime after booking
- $20 - Cancellations made within 12 hours of job start time
- $25 - Cancellation made within 3 hours of job start time
- $35 - Cancellations made within 1 hour of job start time
- $45 - Cancellations made after a job has started
