We need some help during church Sunday school to give some respite for our volunteers. Sundays from 9:30-11:30 am for 2-3 months (and maybe more). We also need Wednesdays for small group and some other days for staff meetings. We prefer someone who is a Christian, CPR certified, background checked (though we may also conduct our own), can drive themselves, and has some training in child abuse prevention and /or trauma informed care.

We need some help during church Sunday school to give some respite for our volunteers. Sundays from 9:30-11:30 am for 2-3 months (and maybe more). We also need Wednesdays for small group and some other days for staff meetings. This job is caring for preschoolers, ages birth through 2, while their parents attend Bible Study and Worship. There will be another sitter in the room - someone already familiar with the church and children. Responsibilities include greeting parents and children. Be hospitable, polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers. Provide age-appropriate care, Including: feeding, changing diapers, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and interacting with children through games, stories, play and prayer. The job will conclude (pay is for the full 3 hours) once all parents pick up their children after worship, likely around 12:00.

This sitter will be working with children ages K3 - K4 during the first half of the time, serving as an assistant to a church teacher. During the second half of the time, this sitter will combine with another sitter to provide care for ages 3 through Kindergarten while their parents are in worship. This second time period will not be a structured teaching time but will be supervison for an extended play time. This sitter will be working closely with our Children's Pastor.
