This role is ideal for someone who possesses a genuine heart for working with children and thrives in a faith-filled atmosphere, finding joy in serving within the house of the Lord. Key Responsibilities ​Supervise and care for infants and young children (ages [e.g., 2–12 years]) during Friday service and designated church events. ​Engage children in age-appropriate play, storytime, craft activities, and simple faith-based lessons. ​Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom or nursery environment. ​Greet parents warmly at check-in and check-out, ensuring clear communication regarding their child's needs or well-being. ​Provide basic care, bathroom assistance, and distributing provided snacks. ​Respond promptly and compassionately to children who are distressed or adjusting to drop-off.

Child care provider needed for a Church located in Norcross on Fri, September 18, 2026 from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM.

This will be in any of our preschool or younger classes. It will depend on where our greatest need is. We will have a 9:00 and 11:00 am service so your role may change. We do not allow shoes in the nursery, so make sure you bring clean socks or you may use the shoe covers that we provide. Make sure you dress comfortably and are ready to engage with the kids. We ask that you refrain from using your phone during class while children are present. When you arrive, you will check in at the counter to the left with Kelsi. We’re looking for two experienced, energetic sitters to support our Kids Ministry team during our Sunday church experience. Sitters will help care for and engage children in a safe, fun, and welcoming environment alongside our existing Kids Ministry volunteers. Responsibilities may include helping with play and activities, assisting with classroom transitions, and providing additional hands-on support where needed. Time: 10:00 AM–1:00PM (3 hours) We’re looking for sitters who are dependable, warm, comfortable working with children, and able to jump in and work well with a team. Prior childcare, daycare, classroom, or kids ministry experience is a plus.

These positions support the Discipleship Leaders in our nursery groups- ages birth-3 years. Our church meets in a rented venue, so you will help with set up and break down each week. We require everyone who serves with our children to undergo a top tier background check through Checkr. If you are booked for the job, please be ready to share your full name and email address for the background check. Everyone who interacts with children at our church also must sign our Code of Conduct. I will go over this document with you and have you electronically sign the acknowledgement form prior to serving. We will meet at The Venue at Friendship Springs- 7340 Friendship Springs Blvd, Flowery Branch, GA. Dress Code: Please wear pants, and be sure that you are comfortable to move around. We will provide you with a Kids of the King t-shirt the morning that you serve with us!
