A18 Church is seeking caring, responsible, and attentive childcare sitters to serve during our A18 Kids Summer Sabbatical on July 5 and July 12. During these two Sundays, our regular children's ministry teachers will be taking a well-deserved break to rest, refresh, and prepare for the upcoming ministry year. Sitters will provide a safe, welcoming, and supervised environment for children during the worship service under the direction of the A18 Kids Director. This is a childcare role only; no lesson preparation or teaching is required. Responsibilities * Welcome children and families during check-in. * Supervise children throughout the church service. * Assist children with watching an age-appropriate video/movie. * Distribute and monitor snack time as directed. * Ensure children remain safe, engaged, and cared for at all times. * Follow all A18 Kids safety and security procedures. * Assist with classroom cleanup before dismissal. * Support the A18 Kids Director with any additional childcare needs during service. Check-In & Check-Out Procedures * Utilize the Planning Center Check-Ins system for all children. * Ensure every child is properly checked in upon arrival. * Verify parent/guardian security tags during child pick-up. * Follow all established child protection and release procedures. Qualifications * Must be dependable, responsible, and enjoy working with children. * Ability to provide attentive supervision in a group setting. * Comfortable following directions from the A18 Kids Director. * Ability to maintain a safe and positive environment. * Previous childcare, babysitting, teaching, or ministry experience preferred but not required. Schedule **Dates:** July 5 and July 12 **Time Commitment:** Sunday morning service hours (including setup and cleanup time as assigned) Supervision This position reports directly to the A18 Kids Director and serves alongside the A18 Kids team to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for every child.
