How Profile Badges Work
- All babysitters and nannies complete a background check through Checkr in order to join SitterTree.
- Some babysitters may earn other optional profile badges for additional experience and certifications.
- All profile badges are self-reported and not verified. You should verify experience directly with your sitter before your job.

Get to know badges:
Starting in November 2024, in order to join SitterTree, all sitters pass a premium background check, including a social security trace, national criminal record check, and sex offender search for all known aliases in all counties where the individual has lived in the past seven years, where law permits.
*Sitters in the state of New York pass a Basic Criminal Check for all known aliases. County level searches are ordered if/when a Basic Criminal Check returns any qualified results.
