Position Summary: We are looking for a loving, dependable Childcare Assistant to serve in one of our classrooms in Highlands Kids Jr. during our evening student services. This individual will be leading the classroom with a handful of children ages 10 and under. The ideal candidate has a heart for young children, loves to serve others, and believes in the truth of the Bible. Responsibilities: Lead in the care and supervision of staff children during church services. Lead the classroom in creating a safe, joyful, and welcoming environment. Engage children through age-appropriate play, stories, and simple activities. Provide basic needs such as comforting, feeding bottles/snacks as needed, and diaper changes. Interact warmly with parents and caregivers during drop-off and pick-up. Help clean and sanitize toys, surfaces, and the classroom after each service. Qualifications: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with biblical values. A genuine love for babies and toddlers. Reliability, patience, and a servant's heart. Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Prior experience with children is required. We would prefer someone with CPR certification/ Certifications like AED, CHOKING & FIRST AID are a plus!

Requirements: * Previous infant and toddler childcare experience * Reliable transportation * CPR/First Aid certification preferred * Non-smoker * Comfortable following our family’s routines and parenting preferences * References from previous childcare positions preferred Pay: $17-20 per hour, based on experience. Assisting with First City Preschool Ministry Childcare for our Tuesday morning Women's Bible Study Groups. Children ages Infant - Pre-K. Responsibilities include supervising playtime, assisting in crafts, and providing a small snack. This morning will be extended through lunch. Parents will provide lunch for their child.
