We are seeking a dependable and flexible part-time Childcare Helper to support our Sunday morning children’s ministry during the summer months. It may lead to long-term in the fall. This is a floating role that provides assistance across classrooms ranging from infants to age 10, stepping in where extra support is needed. Responsibilities include helping with classroom setup and cleanup, welcoming and receiving children as they arrive, assisting with playtime, snacks, and crafts, and supporting lead teachers and volunteers throughout the morning. At times, this role may involve providing additional care for a child with special needs. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a positive and patient demeanor, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and parents to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.

Sitters are needed to provide childcare for about 25 kids while their parents and usual volunteers attend a mandatory volunteer meeting. The children will be broken up into two groups: one for toddlers and preschoolers, and another for elementary-aged kids. Crafts, stories, and games/toys will be provided for the children to do during that time.
