Hello my name is Hallize but I go by Hally for short. I have experience with new borns-11year olds. I went to college for Therapeutic Recreation which is using holistic means to heal. Growing up, I started out babysitting children around my neighborhood, friends of my neighbors or family members. I even taught a Child to walk! A personal accomplishment I like to share. I have been working with children my entire adult life — 6 years of babysitting, after-school programs, and nursery and daycare experience. As the art counselor for an after-school program, I had the joy of designing unique creative projects with little resources and watching kids light up being able to relax and express themselves freely — it remains one of my favorite roles to date. Over the past year on Sitter Tree I have worked primarily with infants and toddlers up to age 4. I am very familiar with newborn care including feeding, sleeping routines, and diaper changes. I have a deep passion for early literacy. What began as homework help grew into reading tutoring for Pre - K and Kindergarteners who had never been properly taught to read. This has been the most rewarding experience of my career to date.

Super compassionate and pays attention to detail. Love kids. I’ve been taking care of kids since I was younger when I used to help out in the church nursery.
