Hi! My name is Makaila, and I’m a Health Science major at Spelman College with a strong passion for working with children and supporting their growth in positive environments. I have experience volunteering in special education classrooms, mentoring youth, coaching Girls on the Run, teaching dance, and leading community outreach through my nonprofit organization, Tiny Tummy Trust. I began working with children at a young age while helping care for my 6 younger siblings. At 12, I started teaching dance to children, later became a special education teacher assistant, coached my own dance team, and now work as a behavior technician. I’m compassionate, dependable, and outgoing, and I enjoy creating engaging activities while helping children feel safe, supported, and encouraged.
