Sunday Preschool Caregiver / Nursery Assistant ($60 for 2 Hours) Every Sunday, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM (2 hours) Pay: $60 flat rate per Sunday ($30/hour) Reports To: Preschool & Kindergarten Director Position Overview Platt Park Church is seeking a warm, reliable, and engaging caregiver for our Pre-K and Kindergarten classroom. This is an ideal position for college students, early childhood educators, or experienced babysitters looking for a consistent, low-stress, high-paying Sunday morning gig. Zero Curriculum Prep Required! Our Director handles all lesson planning, crafts, supply prep, and volunteer management. Your primary job is simply to show up on time, bring high energy, and create a safe, playful, and nurturing environment for the kids. Key Responsibilities - Arrive promptly for the 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM shift on Sunday mornings. - Execute simple, pre-planned lessons, stories, and activities using provided materials. - Facilitate play, crafts, and games while maintaining a warm and safe classroom. - Partner with classroom volunteers to supervise and engage children. - Adhere to church safety, supervision, and check-in/check-out protocols. Qualifications & Requirements Experience caring for or teaching preschool-aged children. Extremely dependable, punctual, and consistent. Patient, energetic, and genuinely delights in interacting with young kids. Comfortable serving in a Christian ministry environment. Willingness to pass a background check and complete standard child safety training.

Starting Weekly Services. Church will need help each Sunday until team is built out.

This is a nursery care position for ages 0-3 with other volunteers from our church!

Position Overview- As a Nursery Child Care Provider, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for young children while their parents or caregivers participate in church activities. Weekly Responsibilities- You will serve in our nursery caring for children ages 0–4. Your responsibilities will include: *Supervising children as they are dropped off and picked up. *Monitoring children to ensure their safety and well-being. *Engaging children in age-appropriate activities throughout your time in the nursery. *Assisting with basic needs, such as diaper changes or helping a child use the bathroom, when needed. A second adult or teen will always be present in the room with you. The number of children will vary based on weekly attendance and may range from 1–10 children, with most shifts typically falling somewhere in the middle. Occasional Responsibilities- In addition to your regular nursery responsibilities, you may occasionally be asked to provide child care for evening groups or special church events. This may include: *Providing child care for 6–8 week Life Group sessions. *Caring for children during church events, such as a Christmas party, voters’ meeting, or volunteer training session. These opportunities will vary throughout the year based on the needs of our church and the groups we serve.

New church launching September 20th- looking for extra hands in our kids ministry that is portable- service is 10 am with a 9am arrival.
