We ask that you are not on your phone during this time outside of urgent responses/calls and that the kids are being monitored and engaged with. Activies during this time can includes snack, outside play as weather permits on our play ground, inside play, crafts, music, and free play. Diaper changes and help in the bathroom may be needed. The Kids Care Team Members provide safe, loving child care for the daytime women's Bible study at Lighthouse Church. Kids Care is provided so that moms can participate in group meetings that assist their spiritual growth and connection with the church, while knowing that their kids are being loved and cared for. This role requires flexibility and dedication to the women's ministry of Lighthouse Church. Essential Job Functions: ● Provide Kids Care for scheduled events (morning and evening shifts available) ● Arrive 20 minutes prior to beginning of event to prepare space/classroom ● Receive kids into class in orderly and friendly manner ● Work with fellow Kids Care workers to facilitate and participate in games, songs, puzzles, crafts, snack time, and other activities while kids are in class ● Meet the needs of all children in kids care by providing a safe and fun environment ● If parent approval is given, change diapers and help children in the bathroom when needed ● Release children to parents/guardians following LH Kids security procedures ● Clean and reset space/classroom after children have been picked up ● Follow all directions from LH Staff Member running the event

CHILDREN’S BIBLE TEACHER (Lead Role) Are you passionate about helping kids know Jesus in a fun, engaging, and Spirit-filled environment? Harbor City Church is seeking Christ-centered, dependable individuals who love God and love children to serve as Children’s Bible Teachers or Helpers (Ages: 2–5 or K5–10). This is more than a childcare role—it’s a ministry opportunity to help children encounter the love of Jesus and build a foundation of faith that will last a lifetime. As part of our kids ministry team, you’ll help plant seeds of faith by: * Teaching simple, age-appropriate Bible lessons * Leading or assisting with worship, crafts, and activities * Creating a safe, joyful, and nurturing space rooted in God’s Word. Who We’re Looking For: * You have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects biblical values * You’re comfortable teaching Bible stories, praying with children, and supporting their spiritual growth * You are teachable, patient, and passionate about ministry to the next generation * You are at least 19 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. What To Expect: We require all first time applicants to receive training before Sunday’s church service. It will give us time get to know each other better, match you well with the age group you’ll be working with, prepare for Sunday - go over curriculum, guidelines, expectations, boundaries, routines, classroom norms/rhythms, check-in, check-out and support you best during your time with us.
