When I was 4 years old, I declared that I was going to be a teacher when I grew up. So, as I grew, I found every chance to be a ‘teacher’. This looked like volunteering at VBS, being a mother’s helper, and a camp counselor. As I matured, so did my roles. I began nannying and student teaching. Now, I’m in my 8th year teaching with a Master’s degree in special education. I have been in all classrooms, from Kindergarten to 10th grade and I have worked with students of all varying abilities. I love what I do and I’d love the chance to help more children learn and grow!

My name is Xitlalitl I have worked with various child support groups such as Big Brother Big Sister of Atlanta and Caminar Latino. In BBBS, i was a Big Sister to an 11 year old girl, where we met weekly for 2 school years, and i helped with homework, read together and talked about her. In Caminar Latino I was overseeing a group of kids from 3-12 years old. We completed homework, activities provided by the program, and just spend time together. CPR/BLS certified I have been babysitting for families for several years, working for family friends as well as families that I have met through social media outlets. I have personal experience working for families with children ranging from the ages of 7-12, but have also worked in church groups such as bible study and summer camps with children 3 years and up! I have experience with young children, and met a family through SitterTree that I babysat with for years, and loved it! I also have worked as a gym coach for about two years, working with groups of about 5-10 kids, which really taught me how to multitask and stay active with kids, even when there are more of them than me. I enjoy staying active like this, so some things that I really enjoy doing with kids includes playing outside and being involved in games with them, or even just hanging out in the house, reading, coloring, or doing puzzles. I also tend to clean throughout the day so that there is no need to clean up a large mess at the end of the visit. The parents I have worked for have positive reports and usually ask when I will be available to work for them again! I am very excited to be able to start on Sittertree, and can't wait to meet and get to know your family!
