How do I renew my background check?

Background checks must be renewed each year to continue applying to and booking jobs on SitterTree.

Checking your status

Go to Badges to view your background check status.

• If it’s still valid, you’ll see it under My badges
• If it’s expired, look under New badges

You’ll also see when your background check expires. To avoid interruptions, complete a new check before the current one expires. Families and groups won’t be able to view your profile or book you for your jobs until your background check is current.

Renewing your background check

1. Select Basic Background Check
2. Start a new check
3. You’ll be redirected to Checkr to complete the renewal process

Once complete, you’ll receive a notification and your new Background Check badge will appear on your profile.
