I was born and raised in Chicago and have spent my entire life here, building strong roots in the numerous communities and working closely with children and families. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and spent five amazing years working as a preschool/ special education teacher with Chicago Public Schools. During that time, I supported a diverse group of learners, created engaging lesson plans, and built nurturing environments where every child could thrive. Although I recently made a career shift into recruiting, I deeply miss working directly with children and being part of their daily growth and development. Babysitting allows me to stay connected to my passion by caring for and supporting young children in a meaningful way. I aim to bring a calm, patient, and positive energy to every family I work with. Hi, I'm Stacy and I love to care for children. I’m new to Sittercity, but NOT new to caring for children. I have more than 5 years experience as a teacher and also more than 10 years experience as a professional Nanny. I’m CPR certified and first aid trained, and I have cared for newborns on up to high school aged kiddos and I have loved it all! Additionally, I have 2 degrees in Education. What else ? I know how to cook and do meal preparation, my vaccinations are current and I’m comfortable with pets. I'm a native English speaker and I know Spanish as well. I love teaching children the Spanish words for animals and shapes and colors and numbers and everyday items. I have worked with children of all ages and I have loved it all. Additionally, I can pass a background check, I have my own car and I have a clean driving record.
