Hi! I'm Amy (preferred name Jamie), an experienced nanny and classroom teacher excited to connect with your family. I am 24 years old and have spent the past several years working with children both in and out of the classroom. While in college, I nannied and babysat for several families and churches through SitterTree. After graduating from Oglethorpe University in 2023 with a degree in Politics, I spent two years teaching kindergarten and second grade through Teach for America, while continuing to nanny and babysit for families on the side. I am currently pursuing my Masters in World History and am looking for a full-time nanny position to support myself while in school. In addition to my time as a classroom teacher, I bring over 6 years of nannying experience with children ranging from newborns to age 13. I’ve handled everything from school drop-offs and pickups to organizing extracurriculars, and preparing meals, as well as bedtime routines, potty training, and even overnight and travel care when needed. My number one childcare philosophy is: let’s get outside! I love taking kids to places like the Botanical Gardens, the High Museum, or the neighborhood playground. It’s so meaningful to get kids connected to nature whether we’re walking, digging in the garden, or splashing in the creek. On days when we can’t get outside, I love to pull out the arts and crafts, put together a puzzle, or read a good book (two years of teaching has left me with a great collection)!
