Hello! My name is Shayla Scott. I am originally from Denver, CO. I just moved to Baton Rouge and am looking for jobs working with children as I have done so while in CO. I have two children of my own, ages 3 and 5 so I definitely can handle and understand the toddler life. Aside from personal experience, my professional experience with children started in 2022, where I worked for Denver Public Schools Extended Learning department as a Staff aide in an after school childcare program. I worked with children from ECE-3 all the way up to 5th grade and have also supervised programming when needed. This included administering medications when needed, handling parent drop offs and pick ups, ensuring licensing requirements are met, leading staff meetings, and more. I am CPR and First Aid/AED certified, and have been awarded certificates for completing professional development trainings specifically related to childcare and student development.
