I bring more than 30 years of professional experience working with children and families, including extensive experience in educational settings (FT & PT Nanny, Assistant Director, Lead Teacher, Assistant Teacher, Substitute Teacher, School Bus Driver). I love Sitter Tree because it allowed me the opportunity to have flexibility in caring for my aging parents, and continue to do what I love. Over the years, I have cared for hundreds of children with varying degrees of needs, different learning styles, and developmental stages, which has taught me how important patience, attentiveness, consistency, and good judgment are in childcare. I believe children do best when they feel safe, respected, engaged, and genuinely cared for. I am warm and nurturing, but I also provide appropriate structure, reinforce expectations, redirect behavior calmly, and follow the routines and preferences parents or caregivers have established. I enjoy reading, creative activities, games, outdoor play, homework support, conversation, and finding age-appropriate ways to keep children engaged rather than simply passing the time. I pay attention to the little things—changes in mood, safety concerns, routines, instructions, and what helps an individual child feel comfortable. You can count on me to be dependable, communicative, respectful of your home and expectations, and focused on giving your little one(s) attentive, responsible care while they are in my care.
