I have extensive experience working with children in a variety of settings, including healthcare, education, recreation, and caregiving. Through my volunteer work with Camp KEMO, I provided around-the-clock care and support for children undergoing cancer treatment and their siblings, ensuring their safety and comfort while creating a positive camp experience. As a private babysitter and nursery worker, I supervised children ranging from infants to 12 years old, managing feeding, diapering, and daily routines while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, I have served as a swim instructor, competitive swim coach, and head coach for youth swim teams, teaching swimming techniques, developing age-appropriate training plans, and encouraging confidence and teamwork. My experience at St. James Vacation Bible School involved planning and leading group activities for 125 children, coordinating schedules, and ensuring an engaging and supportive atmosphere. These roles have strengthened my ability to build trust with children and families, manage group and individual needs, and create safe, fun, and educational environments tailored to diverse developmental stages.
