Hi, my name is Lara, I’m a 21-year-old nursing student at Texas Women’s University with a strong passion for working with children, particularly newborns. My goal is to become a NICU nurse after graduation, where I can provide specialized care and support to infants and their families. I have extensive experience working with children in a variety of settings. Starting in high school, I worked as a preschool teacher, and more recently, I worked as a substitute teacher for CFISD, teaching students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Additionally, I have babysat for numerous families, caring for children ranging from newborns to 12 years old. I am also CPR certified, which equips me to respond confidently in emergency situations. These experiences have allowed me to develop patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, which I aim to bring to my future nursing career
