Every summer throughout high school, I worked as a nanny, taking full responsibility for daily childcare, creating routines, planning activities, and making sure the kids I cared for always felt safe, supported, and genuinely comfortable around me. I have my own car, so I’ve been able to help with pickups, drop-offs, errands, and outings, which made everything easier for the families I worked with. I’ve always tried to be the kind of nanny kids actually feel good around — someone who makes their day lighter, listens to them, and gives them space to be themselves. I help with schoolwork, reading, and summer assignments, and I love creating a calm, cozy environment where they feel understood. Working with kids has taught me how to be patient, reliable, and adaptable, and it’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about family services today.
