Racquel

My name is Racquel Soogea, and I go by Racquel Simone. I have over 10 years of hands on childcare and nannying experience, caring for children ranging from 3 months to 12 years old. My journey into childcare began early because my mother owned an at-home daycare, where I helped care for multiple children and learned the importance of patience, safety, structure, and nurturing at a young age. After moving back to New York, I began nannying both part-time and full-time for several families. One of my longest placements was with a family of three children 1 girl and two boys (ages 1, 4, and 9), whom I cared for over three years. I remain very close with this family today. Through this experience, I was referred to other families and later joined Care.com, where I continued building long-term relationships with parents. My responsibilities throughout the years have included meal and lunch preparation, school pick-ups, homework help, nap schedules, reading, outdoor play, museum visits, and creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment. I’ve cared for infants while warming breast milk, managing nap routines, and stroller walks as well as older children, coordinating after-school activities such as soccer, cello practice, baseball, and driving school. I later moved back to Houston, where I continued nannying for families with toddlers and school-aged children for several more years. In addition to childcare, I am an entrepreneur with my own swimwear line and do acting on the side, which allows me to bring creativity, structure, and strong communication skills into my work with children. I’m reliable, patient, energetic, and deeply committed to supporting children’s growth while giving parents peace of mind.
