Joy

Hi! My name is Joy Toku and I live in Tulsa with my family while currently attending ORU--majoring in Computer Engineering. I have a heart for working with children of all ages and abilities. I currently serve at Victory Church, caring for children with special needs between the ages of 4–12. I’ve also gained hands-on experience by helping my sister care for little ones from just a few weeks old up to age 8. In addition, I’ve spent the past year tutoring students in grades 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, which has helped me grow in patience, communication, and creative teaching methods. I love singing, cooking, crocheting, and reading—and I often incorporate those interests into fun, engaging activities with the kids I care for. I believe every child is precious and unique. Being part of their growth and development brings me joy and I’m always honored to be someone they can trust and learn from.
