Hello Parents and SiterrTree staff. My name is Mary. The majority of my professional career was in the field of Early Childhood Care and Education, 25 + years. Since retirement, I've worked as a Nanny, Mother's Helper and occasionally, a Banysitter. During my professional career, I worked in Early Childhood classrooms as head teacher, co-teacher, and supervisor/ Child Care Director. My roles also included summer camp Director, ages 5 through 12, School-age child care provider, and Home Visitor in Head Start programs. Over the past 9+ years, I've worked in private homes as a Nanny, primarily with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. I've been a Mother's Helper with infant twins. I've also raised my own family, and I have one grandson who is my greatest delight. It is no exaggeration to say that young children have been, and are, my life and my heart. I'm confident that you will find me to be a warm, friendly person who is nurturing, patient, provides responsive & engaging care & enjoys caring for young children. Also, I have many years of experience working as part of a team in early childhood classrooms, summer day camps, and school age afterschool programs. Whether providing care for a group of children as part of a child care team, or as a Nanny or Babysitter for one to three little ones in your home, I would focus on safety & security. While supporting natural curiosity & play, I would observe and interact as the children explore the environment. I would offer activities and materials appropriate to interests, development & emerging skills. The care I provide is nurturing & engaging, with positive guidance & predictable routines that are set by parents' expectations & the needs of the children. I would provide the children with high quality care, fostering trusting relationships to promote safety, security & overall healthy development. Perhaps most importantly, I believe in open communication and partnership with parents/family, helping to provide a strong net of safety, security, learning and fun for the little ones.
