Hi, I'm Mariana. I bring over 5 years of hands-on childcare experience to every family I work with, across the full range: nanny, babysitter, support teacher, and lead teacher. That range means I'm comfortable whether it's one-on-one time with an infant or holding down a full classroom of preschoolers on my own. My teaching philosophy centers on play-based learning, with a specific focus on the Reggio Emilia approach. I believe children learn best when they're given the freedom to explore, ask questions, and direct their own discovery, with a caring adult nearby to guide and support rather than dictate. I try to treat every child as a capable, curious individual with their own voice. I'm steady, attentive, and genuinely love this work — the good days and the hard ones. Families can count on me to show up consistent and present, and to treat their kids with the same care I'd want for my own.
