Abigail

Hi! My name is Abby, and I am a college student and student-athlete who has always loved working with children. I am responsible, patient, energetic, and caring, and I really enjoy creating a fun and safe environment where kids feel comfortable and supported. I understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust with their children, and I always try to be dependable, attentive, and involved. I have about a year of experience working at a daycare as a teaching assistant, mainly in the two-year-old classroom. I was often responsible for caring for a class of around 7–9 children on my own. My responsibilities included planning crafts and activities, serving and supervising lunch and snacks, changing diapers, helping with potty training, putting the children down for naps, and supervising playtime. I also spent time working in the infant room and have additional experience nannying and babysitting children from the daycare. I have taken multiple child development and childcare courses, and through my experience as an athletic training aide, I also became CPR and AED certified. Working with children has taught me how to be patient, organized, flexible, and prepared for different situations while still making sure the kids are having fun.
