I have approximately 3 years of hands-on childcare experience working with children from 6 weeks old through 5 years old. I have worked as a Lead Teacher in daycare settings, including the Baby Room, Toddler 1, Toddler 2, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. For the past two years, I have worked at Stepping Above Academy, primarily as a Lead Teacher in the Baby Room, caring for infants starting at 6 weeks old and providing daily routines, sensory activities, developmental support, and a safe and nurturing environment. I have also gained experience working with the other age groups through Pre-K. I also worked for 4 months as a Lead Teacher in Toddler 1 at Kiddee College, where I planned activities and supported language, motor, and social development. I do not have a specific favorite age because I genuinely enjoy working with all age groups. I am comfortable caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and young children. I also have personal hands-on experience supporting my 6-year-old son, who has autism. This has given me valuable experience with communication, routines, behavior support, patience, and adapting activities to a child’s individual needs. I have completed multiple early childhood education trainings and have pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
