Jasmine

Hi! my name is Jasmine I am a 25-year-old master's student who is seeking to gain more experience with working with children. My background consists of working with children in daycares as well as being a paraprofessional for kindergartners. I love working with children because you can learn much from them. Being able to help and assist children helps motivate me for my future career as a child social worker. I've worked with age groups as young as an infant to 12-year-olds. However, I've had the most experience working with 5-6-year-olds. When working with children I am devoted to creating a fun but safe space for children to interact and learn. This is not just a job to me it's a passion that I take pride in doing. A list of my schools as a para and daycare floater/after-school teacher is listed below. ● Served as Assistant Teacher for a Kindergarten classroom of 30 students. ● Assisted students with their classwork, special subjects/projects, and personal development. ● Assisted Kindergarten teacher with lesson plans, educational documents, and filing, and ensured the classroom is kept as a safe space for healthy learning for all students. ● In the absence of the teacher, served as the backup teacher to develop the daily assignments and monitor student progress. ● Managed students with behavioral and developmental issues and at times conducted one on one learning activities. ● Worked alongside the school social worker and school counselor to identify students with educational and emotional development challenges and observe students with better assist s behavioral issues. ● Created student social activities, organized play time, and accompanied students on field trips. My role as a Daycare floater/after-school teacher ● Served as Afterschool Teacher for Daycare and Elementary School Children. ● Provided assistance with the management of classroom activities, playtime, nap time, and outdoor exercises. ● Assisted in managing children with behavioral and developmental issues.
