Aiyana

Hi! My name is Aiyana Price and I look forward to talking with you! Here is a bit about me: I was an Afterschool teacher at Ants to Elephants Daycare for 2 years where I, created and executed a schedule that included help with homework, team games, and activities to enhance learning. I built and maintained a positive and encouraging environment for children to promote inclusivity among all children. I also served as an After-school teacher for ages 5-12 and took care of ages 3 months to 3 years old. I demonstrated the ability to adapt and flex to varied situations, and learned how to manage children experiencing behavioral issues while managing other children. I was also a Substitute Teacher at ChildCare Careers where I, served as a substitute teacher for a variety of schools and age groups (newborns to 10 years old) for 275 + students. I demonstrated the ability to adapt and be flexible to multiple work environments with ease. Created and executed lesson plans and activities on the fly if no set activities were prepared to ensure a positive learning environment for students. Built quick rapport with students through learning everyone’s names, having 1-1 activities with individual students, and conversating with students during lunch. I received high-performance evaluations gathered from survey data from teachers and schools and was offered multiple times to work full-time for schools. I love arts and crafts, dancing, and reading. I make sure to incorporate my interests into the activities that I create for the little ones in my care. I am also a recent University of Texas at Austin graduate. I have my BA in Psychology with a minor in Forensics. I plan on taking a break before going to graduate school and in the meantime, I look forward to taking care of and having fun with your children.
