Hi, I’m Ashante! I have seven years of hands-on childcare experience and am also the proud mom of a wonderful daughter. I have a strong background in water safety as a former swim instructor and lifeguard, teaching children ages 2–12 with a focus on building confidence and promoting safety. I currently teach swim lessons through Sunsational Swim School and have been with the program for about two years. Swimming has always been a passion of mine, and I love helping children develop important water safety skills while gaining confidence in the water. From 2021 to 2024, I worked as a Youth Counselor at Agape Youth & Family Center, where I supported low-income children and families through structured programs focused on STEAM education, social-emotional learning, academic enrichment, and physical activities. In this role, I helped create a positive and supportive environment that encouraged growth, learning, and self-confidence. During holiday breaks, I worked for several years at Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO Robotics Camps, engaging children ages 4–12 through hands-on building activities that promoted creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. I enjoy playing board games, building with LEGO sets, and connecting with children in ways that meet them where they are developmentally while encouraging curiosity, confidence, and growth. From 2024 to 2025, I served as a Lead Teacher at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, working primarily with children ages 18 months to 4 years old while also supporting other classrooms as needed. Additionally, I spent over a year as an Infant Assistant Teacher, gaining valuable experience in early childhood development and infant care. I am currently working toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to further expand my ability to support children with diverse learning and behavioral needs. I am passionate about helping children reach their full potential and supporting their cognitive, social, emotional, and academic development. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging, and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
