I think that my energetic personality and my genuine enjoyment for being around children makes me a great babysitter. Ever since I began high school, I always made sure that I was able to dedicate a part of my time to volunteering with after school care at the nearby elementary school and to tutoring children who needed a little one-on-one attention to succeed in the classroom. I have also worked for various tutoring companies which gave me a great deal of experience tutoring young children. I find it important that children develop the habit early of enjoying the outdoors and staying active, especially in this day and age of technology. For this reason, I make an effort to play with the children outside and find alternative activities that don't involve technology as much. As a babysitter, I am also very flexible and understand that plans change, especially for busy parents. I am happy to go grocery shopping, pick children up from various activities, and prepare dinner as these needs may arise. Lastly, one of the most important qualities I have as a babysitter is patience. I understand that it can sometimes be difficult to work with children, but the ability to have patience when their behavior is not the most ideal is often what can ameliorate the situation.
