Hi, my name is A’maya, and I’m a professional childcare provider with over 7 years of hands-on experience working with children from newborns through high school age. Caring for children is not just something I do, it is something I am trained for and truly passionate about. As the oldest of five siblings and the oldest grandchild in my family, caring for children has always come naturally to me. Being in that role from a young age taught me patience, responsibility, attentiveness, and how to create a loving and supportive environment. Childcare truly feels like second nature to me because it has been a part of my everyday life for as long as I can remember. My experience ranges from working as a daycare lead teacher to being a personal in-home nanny, giving me a strong background in caring for children in both structured group settings and one-on-one family environments. Through these experiences, I have learned how to adapt to each child’s unique needs, personality, and routine while creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. I am currently pursuing my degree in Childhood Education at Regent University through an online program, which allows me to continue developing my knowledge of child development while remaining flexible and present for the families I support. I have extensive experience working with children of all abilities, including children who are deaf, have cerebral palsy, autism, sensory processing challenges, and other developmental or behavioral needs. I am now a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), meaning I am professionally and state trained to work with children with special needs using evidence-based practices. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring safety is always a top priority. I may be new to SitterTree and still building my credibility on this platform, but I am not new to childcare, reliability, professionalism, and creating a safe, positive environment for children. Families can count on me to be dependable, punctual, organized, and attentive. I am comfortable working with both large and small groups of children and supporting families with daily routines, homework help, engaging activities, and structured play. I pride myself on being patient, calm, and nurturing while creating an environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and cared for. I value the trust families place in me and take my responsibilities seriously. My goal is always to provide consistent, high-quality care while giving parents peace of mind.
