My name is Sophia Ruiz, and I have several years of hands-on childcare experience across a variety of age groups. I previously served in the nursery at Influencers Church, now known as Futures Gwinnett, where I cared for infants and toddlers in a structured, safety‑focused environment. I have provided consistent childcare for friends and family with children ranging from ages 3 to 15. Including cooking, overnight care, school drop‑off and pick‑up, daily routines, cleaning, homework support, and ensuring each child’s needs were met. In addition, I have experience tutoring 4th and 5th grade students, supporting them with reading, writing, and math. During high school, I was a member of both JV and Varsity Cheer and served as an Assistant Coach for the Freshman team, which strengthened my leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. I also completed an Early Childhood Education course in high school, where I learned foundational skills in child development, nutrition, and early learning. I’m currently a student in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Gwinnett Technical College, which has strengthened my attention to detail, responsibility, and ability to provide calm, compassionate care, and qualities that support my work with children and families. I truly enjoy working with children and supporting families with reliable, compassionate care.
