Hi, my name is Keyvia Mack, and I’m excited to share a bit about my background in childcare. I have a strong passion for working with children and creating activities that allow them to express themselves and explore their interests. My experience spans various settings, including being an older sister to two, a volunteer nursery assistant at my church, a teacher’s assistant at a fine arts summer camp, and a club administrator. My involvement in after-school and summer programs has helped me develop the skills to create safe, fun, and nurturing environments for children. In my roles as a club administrator and teacher assistant, I’ve worked closely with children and adolescents, offering one-on-one teaching and tutoring that builds their confidence and supports their learning. I’ve also coordinated lesson plans, maintained smooth classroom operations, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to meet each child’s unique needs. I also love animals and am always delighted to lend a hand with light housework, like organizing toys, washing dishes, cleaning play areas, and even laundry. With my recent experience working at a daycare, I have gained valuable knowledge about working with all age groups (from infants to pre-k) and implementing effective, dependable schedules to motivate and engage children. I understand that every family and child has distinct needs and interests, and I’m committed to listening and adapting my care to fit those needs. Whether it’s creating a structured schedule, educational play, engaging in outdoor play, arts and crafts, or providing a calm, less stimulating environment, I strive to meet each family’s expectations. I love building positive relationships through educational learning and fun activities, like dance parties, singing, or painting. I often bring art supplies for kids who enjoy painting, but I am always open to other activities that match their interests—anything to increase engagement and inspire creative thinking. *Most of my jobs on SitterTree have involved picking up extra shifts at daycares and assisting with Sunday school at church; however, I’m eager to take on a nanny position and build a more consistent, one-on-one caregiving experience.
