We’re a women-owned and operated app committed to helping parents, preschools, and religious organizations find child care when they need it most. What started as a babysitter’s club in Atlanta has grown into a trusted network across the nation. But what hasn’t changed are the neighborly values SitterTree was founded on—because we believe truly great child care is rooted in community.

Karen
I have worked with young children for over 25 years and have a masters in Early Childhood Education. My family and I moved to Kansas City a little over a year ago. We are originally from Washington State. During the day I am a preschool teacher at a private school. I take pride in my ability to create and support engaging and fun experiences for the children in my care.

Hezekiah
Hi, my name is Hezekiah Kirkwood. I have several years of hands-on experience working with children in both daycare and before- and after-school settings. I previously worked as a childcare worker at Creative World in Belton and as a before- and after-school teacher with LINC in Kansas City, where I supported children of different age groups throughout the day. Alongside my childcare experience, I’ve graduated and received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Human Science with an emphasis in Nutrition and Food Science, which has strengthened my understanding of child wellness and development. Overall, I bring patience, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Barbara
I’ve worked with babies and preschoolers for 28 years as a pediatric physical therapist through the Missouri First Steps program, and worked 2 years as a P.T. with KCMO school district. I retired from physical therapy in 2024, and my husband and I enjoy periodic travel. I’ve been teaching the elementary class at church on Wednesday nights for 2-1/2 years, where we incorporate skits and costume fun. I began doing morning storytimes at preschools 2 years ago, and recently turned it into a non-profit corporation called, “Barbara’s Stories.” I love & enjoy all children, including my own 5 grandchildren! And, of course, I love to see children involved in physical activity, creativity… and books!

Layson
I have 3 previous paid years of experience as a sitter and 2 years volunteer coaching and group care. I have worked directly with verbal and non verbal autism and helped in elementary school as a para for children with learning disabilities. I really enjoy being a good roll model for children and keeping them active instead of on screens to much!

Elizabeth
Hi! I'm Lizzy, I have experience caring for young children through volunteering with kindergarten-age kids at Vacation Bible School, babysitting my two younger cousins (ages 7 and 10), and babysitting my daughter's 8 year old girl. I genuinely enjoy working with children and creating a safe environment for them to play, relax, or thrive in.

Juliana
Hello, my name is Juliana I am 22 years old. I’m the oldest sibling out of 9 growing up I always would want to help my mom with my baby brothers and offer to do things around the house. I actually do get paid to watch my father’s children every Saturday 7am-3pm going on 3 years now. They are 5, 8, and 9 years old I take them to their practices, clean up bedrooms, get the ready for the day, cook breakfast/ lunch, take them to bday parties or somewhere fun just depends on what is going on that weekend. I have a niece and nephew who are 1 and 7 years old that I also sometimes babysit too. Being around children always makes me happy watching them play, learn and grow is exciting.

Although I do not have kids of my own, I do have a 9 year old goddaughter that I adore and have been watching since she was a year old. I love to be outside exploring, playing, doing crafts, and doing educational activities.
