I graduated from Cleveland State University, (Go Vikings!) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and worked in healthcare for 18 years. I really enjoyed teaching patients and decided to go back to school to pursue an education degree and graduated from Rio Salado College in Tempe, Arizona. I recently graduated in December from Western Governors University with a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction degree and became a National Board Certified Teacher in Early-Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading- Language Arts. This is my 12th year of teaching. I have taught Elementary, Middle School, and currently teach High School English Language Learners. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, exercising, hiking, painting, cooking, reading, watching movies and shows, and spending time with my family and friends. I have been working with children since 2002 in both healthcare and in education. I worked in the drop-in childcare at the YMCA taking care of babies to children 8 years old.
