We are looking for volunteers to help with our Children’s Ministry for our Parent’s Night Out Event coming up this Friday. Volunteers will engage in childcare and help maintain a healthy, welcoming environment. Food and drinks will also be provided!

The vKids Contract Worker helps create an excellent, safe, and fun experience for kids during weekend services. This role supports classroom flow, setup and teardown, and volunteer teams while representing the heart and mission of Victory Church. Key Responsibilities Lead or assist in classrooms and ensure rooms are fully prepared before services Engage children in ministry activities while maintaining safety standards Arrive on time and communicate any scheduling changes to leadership Foster a positive, gossip-free, faith-filled environment Expectations Serve one service and attend one service on scheduled weekends Follow all policies and uphold Victory Church values Provide a two-week notice for time off and 24-hour notice for illness Maintain a Christlike attitude and model integrity in all interactions Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Active faith in Jesus Christ Experience in children’s ministry preferred Dependable, teachable, and a strong team player Dress Code Team members should wear appropriate, casual attire that reflects a clean, put-together appearance while allowing for active engagement with children. Clothing should be comfortable, modest, and practical for being on the floor and moving throughout the classroom. Sweatpants and overly casual “loungewear” are not permitted. Leggings are acceptable when paired with a shirt that provides full coverage. Pool-style sandals are not allowed. Clothing must be free of profanity or inappropriate graphics. Childcare/Youth Worker — Job Description Schedule: Sunday mornings; occasional special services and events Reports to: Associate Pastor of Family Ministries Position Overview This position requires flexible workers who can provide safe, loving, and dependable care for children and youth in a wide age range (PreK-8th Grade) during Sunday School and worship services. This position helps create a welcoming, peaceful environment so that parents can confidently participate in worship or adult Sunday School classes apart from their children. This position will not require the worker to care for both children and youth at the same time. All children and youth are grouped appropriately according to their age and grade level. Primary Responsibilities - Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care. - Create a warm, welcoming, and calm atmosphere for children, youth, and families. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. - Follow all church safety and check-in/check-out procedures. - Engage children and youth through play and curriculum. - Communicate with parents in a kind and professional manner. - Follow emergency procedures, including basic first aid if needed. - Work cooperatively with other volunteers and staff. - Arrive on time and stay until all children are safely picked up. Qualifications - Must pass a background check and complete Ministry Safe Child Protection training. - Experience caring for elementary-aged children (professional or volunteer). - Dependable, patient, and compassionate. - Ability to remain calm and attentive in a busy environment. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements - Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. - Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move around the room safely. Compensation: $20/hour
