Im the eldest of 5 (Yes I know its a lot !) and have been blessed with my god daughter who now is 1yr! I’m great with all ages 6mo-12yrs. I make commission painting for a living and I used to teach a toddler paint class on weekends so I’m a huge arts and crafter! My favorite outdoor activities include walks to the park and active games like water balloon tag and kickball weather permitting.

Hi I’m Sarah a 24 years old. I have been on this app before and not new to caring for kids! I majored in film/ photography and theater minor so I love creating things! I have been babysitting for as long as I can remember. I started around 10 years old and have babysat from the ages of 2 days old to 14 years old on my own. I worked at a summer camp as well where we had girls ages 6-16 and spent 5 summers there as a counselor after camping there for 8. My family calls me the baby whisperer cause kids have always gravitated towards me and love me. I have four nephews of my own who I love so much. I have been working as a tutor seasonally for two years now! I work with kids of all ages, and the majority of my experience is with kids aged 4-7. Much of my formal work experience is working alongside teachers inside the classroom and working with kids in after school tutoring programs. As a teen and pre-teen, I volunteered with my church to help care for the younger kids. Both the kids and parents appreciated how I would kneel down to the kids' level and talk directly to them. I made an effort to understand the little ones, especially since they would get frustrated that adults did not understand what they were trying to say. Sometimes my help meant grabbing a book and having them point at and try to say what they needed. Other times it meant sitting with them as they tried to calm down. In every situation I prioritized being patient and empathetic, which is something I practice in my daily life. I joined Sitter Tree to support myself while I study Game Development at GSU. I spend much of my free time sewing and drawing, and I encourage my students to learn through creative mediums. I've found that it helps them approach problems from unique perspectives while also helping them regulate their emotions. I have informal experience working with kids and adults with ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities. I'm looking forward to helping kids continue to grow!
