Position summary: You will provide safe, attentive, and nurturing care for infants and toddlers (ages 0–2) during Sunday services at Morningside Church. Responsibilities: You will create a warm, clean, and secure environment while providing direct supervision and hands-on care for the sweet babies at our church. You will feed, change diapers, and comfort children as needed, following each family's instructions, and engage the children through age-appropriate play, holding, and gentle interaction. There will always be at least two people in the nursery, so you will never be on your own. Qualifications and requirements: Genuine warmth toward and patience with infants and young children. Prior experience caring for children ages 0–2 (in a childcare or ministry setting) is preferred. Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to the Sunday-only schedule. The ability to lift and carry infants and toddlers and to remain attentive throughout the session.

Provides for the physical, emotional, and intellectual safety and stimulation of children ages 0-4 years while working in the church nursery. The mission of our church nursery is to create a welcoming and safe space that honors children and makes them want to come to church and the nursery.

Sitter will assist with the Children’s Sunday School program from 9:45 until 10:45 that meets in the undercroft of the church. Between 10:30-10:45 sitters will transition to the designated room in the Early Learning Center on the first floor of the church for play and outdoor play weather permitting until 12:00 pm. After the children are picked up the sitters are free to leave. If there are no children on a given Sunday, sitters can leave at 11:30 am and will be paid for the full 3 hours of time.

This caregiver will be assisting a special needs student/child ages 2-17years in the regular church environment. They will participate in large groups, small groups, classrooms, or sensory rooms when needed. Experience with Autism/ADHD is highly preferred. coffee and light breakfast is provided. Please dress appropriately and comfortably.

We are providing childcare (as well as dinner) for a few families participating in a discipleship workshop one Sunday evening a month. There will be 2 childcare providers & you can expect anywhere from 1-5 children. You're also welcome to eat whatever we're serving for dinner that evening.
