I’ve always enjoyed helping with younger kids, most of my experience coming from church. Almost all of my service opportunities are made up of helping out in VBS classrooms, mostly with kindergartners and preschoolers. I typically try and make some sort of connection with the rowdier kids, as they typically need a lot of energy. I am extroverted and being around a lot of people always gives me energy. In addition to VBS, my family fostered several children in our home before eventually adopting a baby sister. We welcomed her into our family at age 1 so I have had lots of experience helping my parents keep her entertained and happy.
