How do I edit or cancel a job?

You can update or cancel your job anytime in your account.

Editing a job

If your plans change but you still need care, update your job details.

You can update details like:

  • Number of children
  • Dates and times
  • Job contact
  • Job description

When you’re ready to edit:

  1. Go to Jobs > Find your job
  2. Open the menu next to the job > Edit job
  3. Make changes, review, and save

For recurring jobs, choose to edit one job or the full series.

Communicating changes

You can edit a job up until the start time. Communicate any changes directly with your sitter in chat to make sure the updated job works for them.

  • If applicants have already applied, they’ll be notified of the job changes
  • If you’ve already booked a sitter, they’ll be notified and can cancel if needed

Canceling a job

If you no longer need care, you can cancel your job at any time.

To cancel:

  1. Go to Jobs > Find your job
  2. Open the menu next to the job > Cancel job
  3. Select a reason and confirm cancellation

For recurring jobs, choose to cancel one job or the full series.

Cancellation fees

  • If you cancel before booking a sitter, there’s no charge
  • If you cancel after booking, a cancellation fee may apply based on the sitter’s policy
  • If you cancel a recurring series, you’ll be charged one cancellation fee per sitter booked
  • You’ll see any applicable fee before confirming cancellation

Once a job is canceled, you won’t be able to message the sitter, unless you have booked them for another job.
