Why was my sitter account restricted or closed?
Accounts may be closed for a variety of reasons. Check your email for more details about your specific situation.
Common reasons for account closure include:
- Not passing a background check or ID verification
- Having a previously closed account
- Safety issues, including user reports
- Not maintaining SitterTree’s Quality Standards
Quality Standards
To stay active on SitterTree, sitters must maintain the following standards, based on their interactions in the community:
- A minimum 4.5-star average rating
- No more than 3 last-minute cancellations (within 12 hours) in a 90-day period
- No more than 2 profile blocks from completed jobs within 12 months
- No last-minute cancellations or no-shows on your first job
If your account no longer meets these standards, it may be permanently closed.
What happens next
If your account is closed:
- You’ll be removed from any upcoming jobs
- You can still access your account to withdraw any remaining earnings and manage your Stripe account
