I lead the special needs ministry for a large church. We rely on weekly help from sitters we book on SitterTree. The app makes it easy to connect with sitters in our area who have experience working with children with disabilities. We now have several Favorites who we book consistently. SitterTree has been a wonderful resource for our ministry.

Clara
Hi! My name is Clara Lindsey, I’m 18 years old, and I’m currently a student at Tarleton State University studying Child Development which has allowed me to better understand the different stages of childhood and how important early experiences are. Working with children has been a passion of mine for years, and I’ve been fortunate enough to gain experience with children in a variety of different settings. I first started volunteering in the nursery at Fellowship Church in Round Rock when I was in middle school. That experience sparked my love for working with children and encouraged me to continue pursuing opportunities where I could learn and grow. After that, I began working at a children’s gymnastics gym, where I worked with children through what we called three-dimensional learning. This gave me the opportunity to work with children of different ages and abilities. I’ve since moved into nannying, where I get to build more personal relationships with the children and families I work with. I’ve also recently returned to Fellowship Church, where I now work in the five year old classroom on Sunday mornings. It’s really amazing to be back where my love for childcare first began, but now with even more knowledge and experience to give. I’m passionate about creating a safe, encouraging, and fun environments where children can learn and develop. Working with children is something I genuinely love, and I’m excited to continue growing my experience and education.

My journey into babysitting commenced post my high school graduation when I started caring for a family friend's children during the summer. The age range of the children I looked after spanned from 6 months to 6 years old, and this arrangement persisted for several months. Among my duties were helping the 4 and 6-year-olds with their homework, and I also took charge of meal preparation, whether it was lunch or occasionally dinner, depending on the hour. Subsequently, I ventured into professional babysitting in 2022, leveraging platforms such as Babysitting Connection, Sitter City, and Sitter Tree. These platforms offered seamless access to available sitting opportunities that aligned with my schedule. My assignments typically involved visiting families' homes for a few hours at a time. The children I cared for ranged in age from a 3-month-old baby who mostly slept during my watch to a 13-year-old

Allison
Hi! My name is Allison, and I’m currently a senior at Texas State University. I have several years of childcare experience through babysitting, working with children at my church, and caring for my younger niece as she has grown up. Helping care for my niece from a young age gave me valuable hands-on experience with daily routines, preparing meals and snacks, playing educational games, helping with bedtime, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. In addition to caring for my niece, I have worked in my church’s childcare program, where I supervised and engaged with children of various ages. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, giving families added peace of mind that their children are in capable hands.
