This position helps create a welcoming, peaceful environment so that parents can confidently participate in worship or adult Sunday School classes apart from their children. This position will not require the worker to care for both children and youth at the same time. All children and youth are grouped appropriately according to their age and grade level. Primary Responsibilities - Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care. - Create a warm, welcoming, and calm atmosphere for children, youth, and families. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment. - Follow all church safety and check-in/check-out procedures. - Engage children and youth through play and curriculum. - Communicate with parents in a kind and professional manner. - Follow emergency procedures, including basic first aid if needed. - Work cooperatively with other volunteers and staff. - Arrive on time and stay until all children are safely picked up.
