What if my sitter cancels?

We all know cancellations happen. In the case of a sitter cancellation, SitterTree will make every effort to find an alternate sitter. In the case of last-minute cancellations due to emergency or illness, we will work with our community of sitters to help your family to make the next-best arrangement.


How do I cancel a job?

Always cancel jobs from your SitterTree dashboard.  Log in and view Upcoming Jobs.  Select the job you want to cancel and click Cancel Job.  SitterTree and your sitter will immediately be notified of the cancellation.  Cancellations made in any other way, including directly to your sitter will result in your card being charged.


If I cancel a job will my Booking and Additional Service Fees be refunded?

All Booking and Additional Service Fees are non-refundable.  Fees for jobs canceled at least three hours in advance will be returned to your account as a Booking Credit for future jobs.


If I cancel a job will my sitter be paid?

Cancellations made within three hours will incur a late termination fee, which will be charged to the card on file and paid to the sitter.

  • $25 - Cancellations made within 3 hours of job start
  • $35 - Cancellations made within 1 hour of job start
  • $45 - Cancellation made after a job has started
