About Safety at SitterTree

SitterTree takes safety seriously. All sitters are vetted by our trained screening team. In addition to clearing extensive background checks, including nationwide, sex offender and motor vehicle checks, sitters complete a profile safety screening before applying to any job.

 

Are sitters required to complete a background check?

Yes. All sitters are complete a background check through a third-party company. This check includes a nationwide criminal, sex offender, and motor vehicle check.

 

Does SitterTree insure sitters to drive my children/pets?

SitterTree recommends that families and groups do not permit or instruct any sitter to drive your child or pet.

• Leave clear, thorough written instructions for your sitter.
• Leave an Emergency Contact list with your sitter.
