What do I do if a child care provider is a no-show?
If your provider has not arrived, you can take the following steps.
Steps to take
1. Allow a short grace period Wait 10-20 minutes past the scheduled start time, as delays can happen.
2. Try to contact the provider Send a message in chat or call using the phone icon in the top right of the chat. Give them a few minutes to respond.
3. Report the no-show If the provider has not arrived or responded, you must report the no-show in SitterTree to ensure you are not charged.
- Go to Jobs > Find the in-progress job
- Open the menu > Report no-show
- Add any details and submit
If the job end time has passed, go to Past and follow the same steps.
4. Book a replacement provider If you still need care, post a new job or invite providers to apply. You can book a provider up to 30 minutes before the job start time. You may need to adjust the start time to allow at least 30 minutes for arrival.
After booking a last-minute job, confirm arrival time via chat.
Payment
If your provider did not show up, you must report the no-show to ensure you are not charged for their wages.
As long as the no-show is reported, you will not be charged for the provider’s wages for that job.
When you report a no-show, your service fee or Booking will be refunded to your SitterTree account or Bookings Balance.
Additional information
