I’m a non-smoker, flu vaccinated, Pfizer COVID vaccinated, and I have 4 Pfizer COVID booster vaccinations, as well. I've been a sitter almost forever, but a nanny and household manager for approximately 8 years now. I worked 3 years consecutively for 1 family. Most recently, I had an infant full time as nanny and household manager. Sadly, the daycare opening that we were anticipating came much sooner than expected. Currently, I provide childcare services for a childcare agency, in addition to SitterTree. Furthermore, I completed classes to towards my Child Development Associate credential, so I’m looking to pick up as many relevant work experience hours (I need 480 hours!) to complete the program. I have experience with children ages newborn to 17. I have plenty of skill, knowledge, and experience in various childcare subjects, including, but not limited to, sleep training, newborn and infant care, autistic and developmental disabilities childcare, pediatric therapy, tutoring and academics, etc. I am compassionate, patient, and fun to be around! Thank you for taking the time to read more about me! I’d be honored to care for your kiddo(s)! 🫶🏾

Arloa

4.97(39 reviews)

$20/hrstarting from

My name is Arloa Fine. I have about four years experience in childcare, working with kids ranging from 3 months through 5 years. I am currently a part time nanny for a two year old litle boy. Before that, I worked as a full time nanny in the mornings and overnights caring for a preschool child with special needs. I’ve also served many families throughout the Nashville and surrounding areas, baby sitting multiple children ranging from toddler to junior high. Some of these positions were 1:1 while others were with multiple children with significant age differences. Prior to nannying and baby sitting, l worked as a lead teacher in a 12-24 month classroom, which eventually included children 8 months old and up due to changes in the daycare. In this position, I learned to care for multiple children at once doing diaper changes, overseeing nap time, and providing engaging activities, such as book reading, crafts, and other age appropriate activities. Along with facilitating a safe and engaging environment, I kept clear and open communication with all of the parents/ guardians of each child in my care. Before working in childcare, I obtained my bachelors degree in music education and taught elementary music for 14 years. In total, I have almost twenty years of experience interacting with children and creating safe, nurturing , engaging and fun environments. Some of those experiences have been paid and some were volunteer. In addition to volunteering in my church’s childrens church, I also served as a youth leader for over ten years. I truly love working with children of all ages, and with my background in music education, I love to bring interactive experiences, including music, games, movement, and adventure to every role that I am in. I would love the opportunity to serve your family.

Frequently asked questions about finding a nanny in Auburntown

How much should I expect to pay a nanny in Auburntown?

Nanny rates vary based on location, the nanny’s experience, and how many children need care. In most areas, nannies earn between $18–$30 per hour. Full-time, experienced nannies or those providing additional services (like tutoring or transportation) may charge more. On SitterTree, rates, expectations and schedules are set upfront for stress-free negotiations.

What is the best way to find a nanny in Auburntown?

It's easy to find a nanny in Auburntown on platforms like SitterTree, which require ID verifications and background checks for nannies to stay active on the app. Look for nannies with relevant experience, and strong reviews from other parents. You can also meet candidates through local parenting networks or referrals, but it's important to conduct a reference check and background screening before making a decision.

Is it cheaper to hire a nanny or daycare?

It depends on your family’s needs. Usually, daycare is more affordable for one child, but you might want to hire a nanny if you have multiple children or need flexible hours. Many parents choose nannies for personal attention, in-home convenience, and consistent care.

What is the hourly rate for a nanny in Auburntown?

Most nannies earn $18–$30 per hour, though rates vary by city, experience, and responsibilities. Specialized care (for newborns, overnights, or travel) often comes with a higher rate. Checking average rates in your area is the best way to stay competitive and fair.

What is the difference between a nanny and a babysitter in Auburntown?

A nanny provides regular, ongoing care—often weekly or full-time—and may help with routines, meals, school pickups, and child development. A babysitter usually provides occasional or short-term care, like date nights or weekends. Both roles are important, but you should make your choice based on the hours and consistency your family needs.

How do you find a reliable nanny in Auburntown?

Look for consistency, communication, and great reviews. On SitterTree, every nanny must meet Quality Standards, including a minimum 4.5-star rating, 0 no-shows, and no more than 3 last-minute cancellations. Ratings are generated from real parent reviews, so you can get an accurate sense of each nanny's reliability.

How to safely hire a nanny in Auburntown?

To make safe hiring decisions, review references, run a background check, and schedule an in-person or virtual interview. Ask about certifications like CPR and First Aid and previous experience. On SitterTree, nannies verify their identity and pass a background check, so you can focus on finding the right fit without worrying about what’s behind the profile.
