I lead the special needs ministry for a large church. We rely on weekly help from sitters we book on SitterTree. The app makes it easy to connect with sitters in our area who have experience working with children with disabilities. We now have several Favorites who we book consistently. SitterTree has been a wonderful resource for our ministry.

Peyton
Hello! My name is Peyton and I am a senior at UNCG. I have always been passionate about caring for children, one that started as early as two years old with my little siblings. I am very passionate and willing to be there for parents when they need a babysitter no matter the hour.

Abrianna
Hiii! My name is Abrianna! From the time I was old enough to babysit I fell in love with engaging young children in how to learn new tasks. I soon became a student teacher at my church, where I loved teaching every child that came to the door a new lesson every week. I went to college to become a teacher and this is currently my 6th year teaching. I have my teaching license in elementary education and special education. I consider myself to be open minded, hardworking, dedicated, and to have a positive spirit. Others know me to be scheduled oriented because I prefer to be early to things. For if you are early you are on time and when you are on time you are late. I value my time and time of others. I am looking for a more reliable part time job and a summer job. I enjoy arts & crafts, eating good food/cooking for others, laughing, and listening to music. I love dogs, but I am afraid of cats lol.

Angela
I began caring for children at the age of 12 and 13 after my mother signed me up for a babysitting course at the Red Cross. I babysat children of all ages beginning with infants and up to school age children. Most of my clients were from my church and within my neighborhood. I helped take care of my niece from an infant and she is now an adult. I also took care of my godson and started keeping him overnight and for the weekends from the age of 4 months and he is now 8 years old.

Allison
I'm a former preschool teacher with a degree in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. I also have two grown children of my own. I have worked in private homes for almost two years now. Working privately, I really get to know the children one on one. This creates a special bond not only with the children, but also with the parents. Trust is key in childcare. I work mainly with younger children (newborn to 6 years old), but I am able to work with any age group. My experience as a preschool teacher allows me to create fun learning experiences in-home, whether it is for babysitting or something more long-term. I have always loved working with children since I was a babysitter in high school and nanny during my college summers. After having my own children, I became very involved in volunteering for the school system. I assessed incoming kindergartners and tutored elementary school children. As a preschool teacher, I developed engaging activities (including daily crafts, reading, music, and play) to enhance children’s creativity and motor skills. I also created weekly themed lesson plans for the 3-year-old class. I led daily circle time to review the alphabet, numbers, shapes, calendar information, weather, and themes. This position also included communicating with parents regarding their child’s development, progress, and issues. Taking care of children is the most rewarding experience. I feel children can teach us so much about life through their eyes. I can't imagine doing anything else!

Wendy
I am a Christian with a strong faith. I was a stay at home mother of two children who are now grown and three grandchildren that I am very proud of. I helped out in the nursery of the church that I grew up in and the church I raised my kids in. When I saw this opportunity advertise, I knew I would love to be a part of this. I love being around children and helping them grow in their faith.

Anna
Early childhood education has been my passion since high school, where I worked in our on site day care. With experience as a lead teacher, home school teacher, nanny and nursery attendant, I know how to keep the littles safe and learning the fun way!
