Understanding payment timing
- Providers have 24 hours after the job ends to submit a payment request
- You have 24 hours after the request is submitted to review and complete payment
If you do not review and pay a payment request within 24 hours, the system will automatically charge the requested payment amount to the card on file.
Issues with payments
Incorrect payment requests
If the payment request is incorrect, you must dispute it within 24 hours after submission.
Missing payment requests
If your provider does not request payment within 24 hours:
- Go to Jobs > Past > Find your job
- If the job shows Pending, the provider has not yet requested payment.
- At the 24-hour mark, the system will automatically submit a payment request using the originally booked start time, end time, and break time.
Auto-charges
If you do not review and pay a payment request within 24 hours, the system will automatically charge the requested payment amount to the card on file.
Paying through SitterTree
All payments, including tips, must be completed through SitterTree. Making payments outside SitterTree may result in double payments. Making payments outside SitterTree also violates SitterTree’s Terms of Service and may also result in permanent account closure for you and/or the provider.
