How do I pay my child care provider?

After a job is completed, your provider will submit a payment request through SitterTree. You’ll be notified when it’s ready to review and pay.

Paying your child care provider

Go to Jobs > Select the banner at the top.

Or

Go to Past > Find your job > Open the menu > Complete payment.

1. Review the payment request

Check the start and end time, any unpaid break time, and the total amount.

2. Proceed to payment

Select Go to payment.

3. Add a tip (optional)

Add a tip if desired.

4. Complete payment

Select Complete payment.

Sitter Bucks will apply first, and any remaining balance will be charged to the card on file.

Understanding payment timing

  • Providers have 24 hours after the job ends to submit a payment request
  • You have 24 hours after the request is submitted to review and complete payment

If you do not review and pay a payment request within 24 hours, the system will automatically charge the requested payment amount to the card on file.

Issues with payments

Incorrect payment requests

If the payment request is incorrect, you must dispute it within 24 hours after submission.

Missing payment requests

If your provider does not request payment within 24 hours:

  1. Go to Jobs > Past > Find your job
  2. If the job shows Pending, the provider has not yet requested payment
  3. If the child care provider has not requested payment 24 hours after the scheduled job end time, the system will automatically submit a payment request on their behalf using the originally booked start time, end time, and break time

Auto-charges

If you do not review and pay a payment request within 24 hours, the system will automatically charge the requested payment amount to the card on file.

It’s important to review and pay your child care provider within 24 hours to ensure you are charged correctly.

Paying through SitterTree

All payments, including tips, must be completed through SitterTree. Making payments outside SitterTree may result in double payments. Making payments outside SitterTree also violates SitterTree’s Terms of Service and may result in permanent account closure for you and/or the provider.
