What are Sitter Bucks and how do I purchase them?

Sitter Bucks are credits toward paying child care providers booked on SitterTree. Sitter Bucks are automatically applied to your next payment to a provider.

Understanding Sitter Bucks

Sitter Bucks may be added to your account through:

Purchasing Sitter Bucks
Referral rewards (after your referred friend completes their first job)
Customer service credits
Promotional credits

When applied to a payment:

Sitter Bucks are used first
Any remaining balance is charged to your card on file and will incur processing fees

Sitter Bucks do not auto-reload. You must monitor your balance and purchase additional credits as needed.

Purchasing Sitter Bucks

Go to Purchase > Sitter Bucks

1. Select the amount Choose how much you want to purchase

2. Select a payment method Choose your payment method

Credit/debit card payments incur a 3.5% processing fee
Select ACH bank transfer to avoid processing fees

3. Selecti a receipt recipient Choose a team member to receive the receipt

4. Complete the purchase Select Complete payment

Processing Sitter Bucks

Sitter Bucks purchased via ACH bank transfer take 1-5 business days to process. Once processed, they are added to your account. You can check the status in your Sitter Bucks Balance.

Viewing Sitter Bucks Balance and History

To view your balance and transaction history:

Go to Payment > Sitter Bucks

Using Sitter Bucks

Sitter Bucks are automatically applied to payments to providers. If there is a remaining balance after Sitter Bucks are applied, it will be charged to the card on file and will incur processing fees.

To avoid charges to your card, make sure you have enough Sitter Bucks available before completing payment.
